On behalf of the congregation of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, I invite you to share in the worship of God and the fellowship of the Church.  Our primary gathering time is on Sundays at 11:00 a.m., and if you are new to the community or do not have a church home, I hope you will visit soon.  Just come to the front entrance, receive a printed guide to the service, sit anywhere you wish, "make yourself at home," and help us worship God.  For parents with infants and young children, we have a nursery in a classroom near the worship center (sanctuary).  Our service usually concludes at noon.
Our worship service is traditional in style, easy for a newcomer to follow, and we have an informal time of greeting one another soon after the service begins.  Along with our Sunday worship services, we have other opportunities for meeting people in small groups, plus we offer children's and youth activities, older adult outings, service projects, men's and women's groups, and a full-time daycare for children during the week.
Bethlehem United Methodist Church has been serving the people of Claremont and the surrounding area for many years.  Service projects are an important part of who we are, since sharing God's love beyond the congregation is an expression of God's love for the world.  We try to do some very practical things like collecting food for the Eastern Catawba Cooperative Ministry and serving meals at the "Corner Table" in Newton.  In these and other ways, we hope to serve the community and world in response to the way God loves all.
Through worship, fellowship, friendships, study and service, we welcome you to help us to follow Jesus, make disciples, and help God transform us and the world!
